Well if time went by fast with one child, it is flying past at lightning speed now with 2 tin lids!
Lily was one month old a few days ago and I seriously don't know where it has gone. I have really loved the experience of being a Mum a lot more second time round. Of course, with experience and hindsight, motherhood is not so unknown and overwhelming as it was with Archie.
I feel more confident, listening to Lily's cues as to what is needed and more importantly, going with my heart to keep her content. I am cherishing this time- if it takes over an hour to feed Lily, well, it's not the end of the world- the washing can wait. Of course, this theory doesn't quite work with Archie! Patience and Archie simply don't go together, but if I have things ready for him to do whilst I feed, he is a happy boy and so long as we are all together, he seems very happy as the doting big brother.
It is an amazing time of our lives but it doesn't come without its challenges. It is 2pm and I have only just had a shower! Alas, grooming is the last thing I manage to get done these days, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
